- William Stewart, born about 1626, has not been delineated in the Stewart family, more to say that he nevered married. That may not be true. He was named in his father's will, and probably got a farm in County Tyrone. The old baronet owned scads of farms, most of which he bought from time to time from owners whose families did not like the rowdy habits of neighbors. Socially it was regarded as 'provincial' to live anywhere else than London. (Source - Stewart Clan Magazine, Tome H, Volume 57, Number 6, December 1959)
